I would combine the trauma registry data with our institutional data from the Arkansas Clinical Data Repository (https://ar-cdr.uams.edu/) to develop specific actions plans to minimize variations in care. This contributed to UAMS being a national leader in mortality after blunt trauma from Spring 2018 onward. Morning Report In October, 2015 I organized and led the first UAMS morning report activity for the Acute Care Surgery service at UAMS. This tradition has been carried out daily, with rare exception, since. At this educational conference we discuss all of the admissions to the trauma and emergency general surgery services in the last 24 hours. All operative cases and surgical icu transfers are also discussed. our results were published in Trauma Surgery and Acute Care Open.
