In this position, I serve as the first contact for My Brother’s Keeper Ohio chapter leaders regarding the recruitment, hiring, and enrollment of VISTAs assigned to their respective sites. Further, as Building Coordinator and a member of the operations team, I am responsible for the scheduling of events inside our building, the ordering of supplies, the submission of supply orders, the mapping of safety procedures, and collaborating with facilities and maintenance to ensure a safe and orderly environment for the Kirwan Institute.

In this position, I held listening sessions with mentees to foster a sense of visibility and to provide additional insight and guidance for their lives and decisions. I advised administrators in the development of remedial programs for places of public accommodation where services had been requested in order to curb violence, and aided in the execution of these programs.

In this position, I led individual and group tours of prospective students, faculty, and staff to establish the sense of individual recognition of which Ohio Dominican University prides itself on. I also trained and supervised student ambassadors to streamline onboarding and daily proceedings (addressing inquiries, processing applications, and organizing data concerning prospective students to streamline the undergraduate admissions process).

In this position, I developed and executed over forty lessons on culinary methods and culinary cultural significance to groups of roughly twenty elementary school-aged children in order to teach them basic cooking skills and cross-cultural knowledge. Additionally, I delegated tasks to one to three auxiliary instructors to aid in classroom operations.

In this position, I connected with over one hundred community members over the course of three months in order to foster a sense of visibility and confidence in city government proceedings, conducted research on curbing longstanding socioeconomic inequities in order to hone administrative perception of where governmental intervention was feasible, justified, and needed, and pitched two policies sensitive to the results of the aforementioned research for city council staff and the division director.
