Ky Johnson is an international development professional with substantial experience leading, managing, and representing globally-focused organizations. He is proficient in strategy, operations, fundraising, public relations, change management, and business development. Ky has proven expertise in program development, monitoring & evaluation, and mentoring staff across cultures. He has represented organizations at the highest levels, including interface and relationship-building with government officials, funders, corporations, diplomats, international NGOs, and the media. He has also successfully completed long-term, short-term, and consulting assignments (both individually and as part of a team) in Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa. He holds a BA in Political Science from Northwestern University and an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.Ky is currently a Senior Advisor (on call) for The Asia Foundation as well as an Independent Consultant. He previously served as Senior Advisor at mClinica, the largest digital platform of pharmacies in Southeast Asia. Prior to that, as the Regional Advisor for The Asia Foundation’s 18 country offices, Ky promoted management tools and models of efficiency; trained country office staff on institutional policies; and mentored and coached senior management of country offices. Ky also served as The Asia Foundation’s Senior Deputy Country Representative for the Philippines. In this role he oversaw programs in good governance, economic reform, rule of law, conflict management, electoral reform, and disaster risk reduction.
