Partnered with the Chicago Housing Authority, this six-week intensive summer program, in conjunction with DePaul University, offers valuable filmmaking skills to teenaged girls from Chicago's most at-risk neighborhoods. The goals of the program are to provide a voice for the social issues that concern them most, demonstrate how young women can employ media in positive ways, and usher in a group of future women leaders who understand (and advocate for) the challenges young women face.

The LGBTQ movement is often called the new civil rights movement, but how true is that claim? Are the two movements similar, or are they fundamentally different? Do they have the same goals? Why are they often in conflict with one another? A new documentary, "From Selma to Stonewall," explores these questions through the journey of two unlikely friends – Gil Caldwell, an 80-year-old black, straight retired preacher and civil rights leader, who marched with Martin Luther King JR. and Marilyn Bennet, a 52-year-old white lesbian activist and author. Directed by Marilyn Bennett. Featuring Gil Caldwell, a friend of Dr. Martin Luther King’s, and self-described foot soldier in the civil rights movement. He marched on Washington; called for voting rights in the heat of the Mississippi summer; and walked from Selma to Montgomery in an historic civil rights march.Archbishop Desmond Tutu commented on the power and importance of the film: "From Selma to Stonewall raises critical issues and highlights the pivotal role that religion should play in ensuring equal rights and justice for all."
