I enjoy encouraging students to put their devices down and be more active, even if it’s just for 20 minutes. In addition, i am fortunate to be in the position to be an athletic coach at the high school level, tapping into my love of sports.On top of that, I have been able to help a countless number of former student-athletes earn scholarships, both academically and athletically.

· Provided supervision for students who are assigned to the In-School Suspension classroom. · Worked with students and or other staff members during student reflection period on issues such as behavior management and the prevention of undesirable behaviors that resulted in student being assigned to ISS. · Monitored all ISS assignments; provided encouragement and feedback to students, monitored tests, computer work and provided instructional assistance as appropriate. · Studied the skills and abilities of the players on the basketball team and puts each player in the most suitable position. · Recognized and used each player’s specific talents to devise plays and playing strategies for games. · Watched films of past games to identify playing and coaching mistakes and avoid them in the future. · Taught players the rules of the game and how to avoid making fouls that result in penalties. · Completes any paperwork required for the job especially in a public-school setting. · Provided instructions to assistant coaches and used them effectively to help build the skill level of the team. · Trained assistant coaches to become head coaches in the future. · Scheduled freshmen, junior varsity and varsity games as well as organized and hosted basketball tournaments.
