About Kyla Achard

I began my career in fundraising because I know that an organization’s desires to better the community it serves need financial support to be realized. I also know the joy of seeing your contribution influence a positive change and wanted to help donors and volunteers experience that satisfaction. Through my work with non-profits, I developed a love for events because these contributions and the causes they support should be celebrated and shared. Additionally, I enjoyed working in events because a good cause only gets better when you add canapés and cocktail dresses. That love for events and for Austin led me to Austin Detours, where I help showcase all the things that make this city so unique through custom tours and experiences for local and visiting corporate groups of all sizes. In addition to over a decade of customer service, sales, fundraising, project management, and events experience, I bring my mediocre but enthusiastic lawn game skills, a penchant for doo-wop dancing, and quality party theming talents (you’d be surprised how often these things come in handy).
