Future PA-C in the making!I have excitedly began my training as a first year PA student at the Physician Assistant Studies program at Wayne State University. There is so much I have learned from just a few months ago and I am soaking in all these moments of growth and change.Prior to the start of my graduate education, I worked for three years as a patient care assistant on the Oncology/Medical-Surgical unit then later the Emergency Room which allowed me to develop vital skills in a fast-paced setting amidst the pandemic.During my undergraduate education at Grand Valley State University, I was enrolled in the Frederick Meijer Honors College and was heavily involved in several organizations, including the Pre-Physician Assistant Club where I served as Vice President. In other organizations, I was the Co-President of the Vietnamese Cultural Association, Secretary for Circle K International, and co-founded the Filipinx American Student Association in my senior year.In the future, I would love to work in a clinical setting that collaborates with organizations to connect the medically underserved community with resources such as food security, career development, low-cost child care, and English as a Second Language programs.
