-Received Clare Luce Boothe Summer Scholarship to research 2D materials under Dr. Jieun Lee of the SNU Physics and Astronomy Department -Advanced a mechanical exfoliation method to produce large 2D material samples. -Optically measured and analyzed 2D material samples. Evaluated 2D material quality using an Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) -Optically excited and measured the whispering gallery mode on 2D materials by developing a new and more efficient method to attach a microsphere to a 2D material.

-Utilized Python to code visual representations of atoms in two-dimensional lattices to aid in understanding the patterns within the Vibrational Spectra of 2H-TaS2 and Graphene -Solved matrices to find eigenvectors and drew conclusions of the classical modes of oscillation for layered materials Se and Ta -Analyzed systems of 2D materials using a Google Cloud High-Performance Computing based program under Dr. Amy Liu
