Throughout undergrad, I had been employed at Carroll University recruiting students of color, developing programs for high schoolers and giving campus tours to perspectives in the Admission Department. During this time, I was in the position to meet students that reminded me so much of myself during the college process. Their need in wanting someone that could relate yet offer professional help was something that motivated me in making their decision easier. In addition to my passion for healthcare, I also found passion in helping those who were underrepresented. Whether it was offering support to low-income communities to distribute free COVID testing during the pandemic or helping K-3 graders learn to enhance their reading and writing abilities, these were opportunities that sparked something in me. When looking at the ideal career, I expect to see progression within the skills I lack and growth in my strengths. My true passions lie in the ability to help the underserved through advocacy, my writing and teamworkA Few Accomplishments- Assisted in the development of Pioneer Pathway, which is a Pre-College Program used to prepare first-generation, students of color, and low-income students for higher education, particularly at Carroll University. - Published Author; 'Nature Through A Student Eyes: Essays on Natural History.
