Serve as a resource/specialist working with all aspects of the membership, headquarters’ staff, and volunteer corp. regarding issues related to risk management and compliance; while providing education and training in the areas of prevention and organizational safety.

West Lafayette, In

- Lead a fraternity and sorority life program area consisting of 81 chapters and over 5,000 undergraduate members.- Supervise and lead a team consisting of an additional Assistant Dean, an Assistant Director, and a graduate student programming assistant.- Advise Council Executive Committees, Board of Directors, Caliber, Risk Management Team, and Judicial Board. - Manage a combined budget of over $200,000.- Implement a marketing and communications audit and subsequent branding of the fraternity and sorority life programming area to include, for the first time, all four councils in united initiatives.- Serve as a liaison between the University, (Inter)National Headquarters, chapter members, alumni, and the Greater Lafayette communities.- Partner with the University Police and Fire Departments, Environmental Management, House Corporations, and the City of West Lafayette to coordinate regular inspections of 58 chapter houses to ensure proper compliance with all health and safety codes.- Provide educational programming and professional development opportunities to the live-in professional House Directors.- Motivate change and reform by creating and supervising the Social Practice Reform Initiative.- Actively work with the Dean of Students Development Officers to cultivate fraternity and sorority alumni in fundraising efforts.- Work directly with the student coordinators for the Indiana Greek Leadership Conference in the planning of this annual event attracting over 800 undergraduates from around the central Midwest.- Partner with the North-American Interfraternity Conference in UIFI:PURDUE, the first campus-based session of the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute in the nation.- Coordinate advising efforts and served as the primary advisor to Purdue University Dance Marathon.- Support all programming initiatives of the Purdue Office of Student Activities and Organizations.

- Served as chief elected officer of a 1,700 member international professional association.- Supervised the Executive Director and served as chair of the Personnel Committee, which included conducting three national staff searches.- Planned and lead Board meetings which were structured to analyze Association’s current status and progress while identifying specific objectives for providing optimal services to the membership.- Served on the Finance Committee and administered a $500,000 budget.- Coordinated all internal and external communications while serving as the spokesperson for the Association.- Represented AFA at other association’s conferences and meetings.- Spearheaded a major organizational restructuring that shifted the focus from that of a working board to operating as a thinking board.- Trained and supervised 200+ volunteers.- Collaborated with Executive Director and legal counsel to ensure appropriate procedures and compliance with laws of incorporation.

- Supervised and directed two full-time staff members, a graduate student, 30 Greek Student Counselors, and 12 House Directors.- Advised the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Multi-Cultural Greek Council.- Oversaw chapter management of 42 student organizations encompassing 2,700 undergraduate members and 38% of the undergraduate population.- Assisted in an 18 month Fraternity and Sorority Program Review producing a 5 year strategic plan.- Reviewed and recommended change to the University as a member of the Judicial Review Task Force, Greek Housing Agreement Committee, Dillo Day Review Committee, and Alcohol and Other Drugs Committee. - Worked as a member of the Division of Student Affairs Directors Team.- Responded to university emergencies as part of duty responsibilities.- Served on Student Affairs Committees: Emotional Intelligence, Leadership Development, and Disciplinary Sanctions and Education.

- Created a new office in the re-organized Division of Student Affairs.- Advised the InterGreek Council, Panhellenic Association, Greek Week Steering Committee, and Order of Omega.- Managed a combined budget of $35,000.- Responded to university emergencies as part of on-call duty responsibilities.- Adjudicated student cases in the University Dean’s Discipline process

- Advised the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, Greek Week Steering Committee, Order of Omega, Paradosis, Rho Lambda, and GAMMA.- Designed publications to better market and serve the SDSU community.- Coordinated NPC and NIC recruitment activities.- Served on a committee designed to integrate all cultural and Greek-letter organizations.

- Served as primary Residence Hall Director for McBride Quad, a seven building complex that housed 14 fraternities.- Coordinated and trained a staff consisting of 14 fraternity resident advisors and 10 sorority resident advisors.- Advised the Interfraternity Council.

- Visited over 65 chapters at campuses throughout the Western and Southeastern United States.- Evaluated and assessed strengths and weaknesses in various student development areas.- Designed and implemented a training program for new field staff.
