$65M FPL Manatee Power Plant; Cooling Pond Soil-Cement Replacement ProjectManatee Dam Slope Protection Project, FL | FPL | 2017-2019 Assistant Project Manager responsible for supporting the needs of the Project Manager. Supervised field and office engineers. Developed and managed the project schedule. Led owner meetings with FPL and weekly coordination meetings with the designer of record. Oversaw progress of the design and reviewed the design for constructability for the design of a precast concrete overlay on 10,000LF of existing soil cement dam containing a cooling pond for a power plant.

Responsible for supporting the Project Manager and supervising the field/office engineers at the Orleans Ave Canal Project in coordinating site work which includes grading, pile driving, structural concrete, mechanical, and electrical disciplines in the timely construction of excavation/embankment, driving of sheet piling, steel pipe and h-piles, and cast-in-place structural concrete, erection of structural steel, and the installation of three 900 CFS pumps. The project involves building three permanent canal closure and pump stations in New Orleans. They will replace temporary structures built in 2006 at the mouths of three drainage canals connecting to Lake Pontchartrain while also blocking a storm surge that would force water into the drainage system. The stations are designed to block surges from the lake caused by a "100-year storm," a strong hurricane that has a 1% chance of occurring in any year. (PCCP Constructors, a Joint Venture of Kiewit, Traylor Bros., and the Pittman, $614.8 million).

Responsible for the planning the Pile driving for the T-Walls, By-pass structure piles 10FT under water, and the Pump Station piles 38FT underwater for all three sites. This includes pricing, procurement, work plans, and AHAs. The project involves building three permanent canal closure and pump stations in New Orleans. Responsible for forming systems for the gate substructure, the gate wall structures, the gate thrust blocks and machinery block, I-wall foundation, wall, and slope paving, T-wall foundation and wall, Circular Dolphin Wall, Closure Wall underwater precast beam/seal slab, foundation and walls, and walkway forms for all structures. This includes pricing, procurement, work plans, and AHAs. Responsible for ordering and scheduling 40,000 cubic yards of concrete and 4.3 million pounds of reinforcing steel. Scheduled and coordinated subcontractors for reinforcing steel (JL Steel), pump trucks (SMECO), concrete finishers (Craftsman Concrete), and painters (Thomas Industrial Coating). Installed and monitored mass concrete temperature for all foundations and wall placements. The project was designed to reduce risk for residences and businesses in Jefferson and Plaquemines Parishes from a storm surge resulting from a tropical event with an intensity that has a one percent chance of occurring annually. Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, the complex consists of a navigable floodgate, a pumping station, floodwalls, sluice gates, foreshore protection, and an earthen levee. (Gulf Intracoastal Constructors, a Kiewit Federal Group, Inc. /Traylor Bros., Inc. JV, $1 billion).

Responsible for forming systems for the bridge’s precast beams, seal slabs, foundations and pier caps. This includes pricing, procurement, work plans, and AHAs. Responsible for ordering and scheduling 36,000 cubic yards of concrete and 5.1 million pounds of reinforcing steel. Scheduled and coordinated subcontractors for reinforcing steel (Arcadia Rebar) and pump trucks (SMECO). Responsible for calculating deck grades for the Bidwell and SIP forms. Installed and monitored mass concrete temperature for all foundation placements. The I-10 twin spans suffered severe damage during Hurricane Katrina and had to be temporarily repaired under emergency contracts while a completely new twin span crossing was designed, permitted, and advertised for construction. The project entailed 1.1 miles of new twin bridges composed of 1,056 36-inch square piles (125,824 linear feet (lf)), bent caps, waterline footings, columns and pier caps, 456 BT-78 precast concrete girders (61,348 lf), structural steel main spans (1,886 tons), and a poured-in-place deck. The project was completed on schedule and budget. (Traylor Bros., Inc., Kiewit Southern Company, and Massman Construction Co., A Joint Venture ,$170.7 million)
