I started my college journey in fall 2020 as a nursing major, and three years into that path, I came to the realization – nursing wasn't my calling. With this realization came a lot of self-reflection and introspection, that led me to reevaluate my goals and aspirations. Finally, in the spring of 2023, I made the pivotal decision to change my major to Computer Information Systems, with a newfound passion for venturing into the UX/UI design industry. This change came with a variety of reasons that ignited a passion within me.First and foremost, I've always found enjoyment behind the computer screen, and the prospect of crafting user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing websites, products, and applications entices my creativity and imagination. Second, I yearned for a field that would grant me the freedom to explore my potential in both work and opportunities. Had I continued down the nursing path, I would have confined myself to that single profession, and would’ve only known myself as a nurse. But in the realm of UX/UI design, the possibilities are limitless. Third, my fascination with the dynamic life of UX/UI designers, working collaboratively in teams, problem-solving, and constantly innovating, was an undeniable draw. This industry's energy and innovation resonated with my vision for a fulfilling and creative career.In my journey into the world of UX/UI design, I am now eager to connect with seasoned professionals and organizations who share my passion. I am in search of mentors and like-minded individuals who can guide me on this exciting path of discovery. I hope to learn from their experiences, gain insights, and collaborate on projects that allow me to apply and expand my knowledge. I'm excited to be part of a community that thrives on creativity and innovation, and I'm ready to contribute my unique perspective to the ever-evolving field of UX/UI design.
