Prepworks develops individualized tutoring programs to meet specific student needs. As an instructor, I use a carefully constructed personalized program that not only highlights a student's strengths, but also identifies and builds up the students weaker areas. In my time at Prepworks, I have been assigned more than 10 different contracts, with tutoring ranging from the ACT/SAT, FCAT, and general studies topics such as Spanish, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, AP US history, Biology, English, Literature, and Geography. I have worked with a wide age range of students, with my youngest being as old as 10, to my oldest being juniors and seniors in high school. As a standardized test prep instructor, I have been responsible for an average overall score increase of 300 points per student. Prepworks prides itself as the premier institution for standardized test prep, and as an instructor I continue to assist students in both recognizing and maximizing their academic potential while taking AP, SAT/ACT, or general subject tests.

My responsibilities with Third Element Marketing revolved primarily around Social Media Advertising, especially with Facebook. I was responsible for creating, designing, and posting up to 20 ads per week for approved campaigns on behalf of our affiliates. This also included running 6 split tests to help focus in on the target groups for each ad campaign. I also assisted with day to day operations, such as providing detailed Microsoft Excel spreadsheets detailing daily, weekly, and all time ad performance, updating email marketing creative databases, inputing invoices from publishers into our accounting system, and ensuring that any and all requests regarding marketing copy, creatives, or tracking information from our affiliates were addressed and handled accordingly in a timely manner. In my short time with Third Element, I was responsible for posting more than 150 different ads for our campaigns, accounting for more than $12,000 in revenue over the course of two and a half months.

As a tutor for Ignatian Tutoring LLC, I am responsible for applying my academic knowledge to help both middle and high school students with their general education courses.

The Compliance Boot Camp was a Pilot Program hosted by the University of Miami School of Business Administration to expose interested students to the new and growing field of healthcare compliance. In this boot camp, we had access to industry professionals who shared their experiences and gave advice over the 4 days of intense discussion and lecture about how compliance is one of the most important fields to corporations today. The Boot Camp also included a case study which required a close read of a hypothetical compliance example, and a presentation to reveal our findings to the board about possible violations and the relative effectivity of their compliance program.

Since I worked entirely on commissions, I relied solely on my ability to communicate and connect with individuals, while delivering excellent customer service. As Pool Manager for Chicagoland Pool Management, I was in charge of maintaining facility operations and equipment, cleanliness, and professionalism among my staff of 26 lifeguards. I was in charge of dispute resolution among the staff, and personally making sure that the safety and satisfaction of my patrons was first priority. I was also in charge of coordinating rentals, private events, and service crews for the use and maintenance of the facility’s grounds. My job was very customer service based and I can certainly say that I have acquired many of my people skills as a result of this job.
