I represent Illumina in a wide variety of transactions, particularly in transactions having an intellectual property component. I draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, including material transfer, collaboration, supply, development, co-marketing, and licensing agreements. I advise on structuring strategic partnerships, and draft the relevant agreements. I work collaboratively with the corporate development and technical teams, and counsel Illumina personnel on a variety of legal issues arising in connection with the development and commercialization of Illumina products and services.

My practice focused on intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent and copyright litigation. I represented clients in federal court at various stages of litigation, including pleading, pre-trial discovery, and motion practice, including being the lead associate on a number of pre-trial patent litigation matters. In addition, I assisted clients in the acquisition and commercialization of technology, including in drafting license agreements and in assisting on intellectual property issues that arose in corporate transactions.
