As the Sr. Scheduler, I was responsible for scheduling daily work for System Operations crews, facilitating planning meetings with supervisors and managers, and monitoring compliance work across all of System Operations and helping to develop action plans based on the data. In addition, I was the sole coordinator with NPL, a Nicor Gas contractor, when one of their crews would be needed to work with a Nicor Gas System Operations crew on routines and other specialty jobs.I was also part of the vacation committee, which was tasked with ensuring all System Operations field crews received vacation request forms and submitted requests in time, as well as making initial approvals/denials of requests.

In this role I was responsible for scheduling work for System Operations crews in one or more regions at a time, as well as monitor compliance and other high-priority work in my assigned areas. I needed to maintain good working relationships with supervisors, managers, and the crews to ensure that all work was completed in an efficient manner.

As a dispatcher I and II, I was responsible for efficiently assigning emergency orders and other high-priority same-day work to Service, Delivery, and System Operations crews. I needed to be able to effectively multi-task to ensure that crews arrived at appointments and emergencies within the allotted timeframes as well as ensuring they remained busy throughout their shifts.
