Principal Engineer
CurrentAssignment: -Lead Production Engineer for a new combat system that was awarded a production contract by USG.Tasks:-Manage on-going builds of hardware for Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), First Article Acceptance Tests (FAAT), Lot Acceptance Tests (LAT), and contact deliverable units.-Present production status to internal and customer management during reoccurring Program Management Reviews (PMR).-Create and submit Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to make corrections or improvements to an USG owned Technical Data Package (TDP).-Lead on-going continuous improvement projects.Accomplishments:-Executed a successful production line start up within 6 months of contract award.-Completed all manufacturing data items on the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), which included a Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA), Process Control Plan (PCP), Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Production Readiness Review (PRR).-Led effort to incorporate use of a consumer grade 3D printer to support fixture development, which decreased material costs from ~$400/kg to ~$60/kg resulting in ~$15k savings during production line start up.Assignment:-Supporting Production Engineer for a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) production contract.Tasks:-Redevelop processes and equipment used to conformal coat, depanel, and prepare Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for potting on a production line that has been dormant for more than a decade.Accomplishments:-Led effort to modernize light-curing conveyor system, which decreased cycle time from 120 seconds to 30 seconds for a significant production line bottleneck.-Implemented improvements that decreased conformal coat application cycle time from 75 seconds to 60 seconds.-Researched and implemented numerous production line upgrades to mitigate the risk of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) damage to components on the production line.
