I am in charge of Grand Valley's student run news show Laker News. We create a weekly broadcast consisting entirely of student made content and stories.I am the final voice when it come to whether we should run a story, and along with my producers assign stories and write copy for the show each week. I wear several other hats as well, including reporter.

In the Summer of 2017 I had the privilege of spending my time in the newsroom of a top 20 market station. In the Special Projects unit, I learned about a different side of news and learned the inner working of investigative, consumer affairs, and medical reporting.
