As Project Engineer with 5+ years of construction management experience, I am involved in all phases of the building process from project inception through construction and occupancy. My responsibilities include reviewing submittals and Requests for Information and coordinating these processes with the Architect and Engineers, documenting project changes, compiling monthly reports, and schedule updating. I am also responsible for executing owners meetings which include facilitating each meeting, documenting minutes, leading owner/architect inspections as well as coordinating subcontractor activities, review and issue subcontractor and owner change orders, assess subcontractor monthly payment applications and assisting in project closeouts.

Orlando, FloridaCost: $8 MillionThis 34,000 sf Public Safety Center was constructed to replace the former University of Central Florida Police Station, which was built in 1988. This three-story, hardened facility contains the UCF Police Department, an upgraded dispatch communications call center, multiple conference rooms, a room for fingerprinting, secure parking lot for police vehicles for the Orlando campus. The first floor houses a workout facility for all officers to use as well as a secured evidence room and three holding cells to allow officers to handle arrestees more efficiently. The second and third floors house the individual offices and conference rooms as well as the many interrogation rooms all under high tech surveillance. This building achieved Silver LEED® Certification.I held an internship position with PPI Construction Management during the construction of the new Public Safety Building at the University of Central Florida. During the internship I was responsible for reviewing submittals and Requests for Information and coordinating these processes with the Architect and Engineers, and documenting project changes and meetings.

Orange Park, FloridaCost: $2 MillionThe scope of the project included a dining area, living units, and a laundry room that services all of those who live in the Vivian Borom Facility. This project consisted of building individual duplexes and apartments, offering additional amenities and a new style of living for residents of Moosehaven. In the course of my internship with E. Vaughn Rivers CM I trained under the supervision of five Superintendents during the construction of 12 retirement duplexes for Moosehaven Retirement Community. I assisted in grading the jobsite, building divider walls between residential units, and constructed a one Mile radius of aluminum fencing around the parameters of a retirement community to include 5 sets of cantilever gates. I also assisted on the restructure of five local high school renovations to include; bleachers, exterior walls, portables and roofing.
