Research Analyst
Current• Provide advisory services to federal agencies, including NOAA, DOE, and USFS, by evaluating the effectiveness of their organizational structure, operations, and program performance, recommending practical approaches to enhance their service delivery. Identify and analyze future challenges and opportunities, suggesting timely corrective action.• Lead research lines of inquiry and write report chapters and recommendations. Create knowledge in the field of public administration on advancing early-stage research and development to commercially viable technologies, agency-related foundations, and promoting innovation in science and technology. • Compare organizations and their programs with those of similar organizations to identify best practices. Understand and advise on the relationship of federal, state, regional, and local governments.• Select, coordinate, and lead interviews and group discussions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to inform study findings and analysis. Lead meetings with clients and present project status, findings, and recommendations to clients, congressional staff, panels, and conference attendees.• Improve the training procedures for new staff to expedite their administrative and substantive contributions to the Academy’s study teams.
