Flexible – In the past I have worked for long periods of time away from my home, family and friends during my time in the armed forces. I remained loyal to my regiment and comrades. Also during my employment in different factories I have always been flexible with overtime, weekend work and shift patterns. I believe you must ensure a job is completed correctly and on time. Communication – communicate with all lines of command within an organisation. I also find it easy to approach other, and others have commented on how easy I am to ‘get along with.’ I take orders well, and will always ask for advice and guidance whenever I am unsureResponsible – worked in dangerous environments, with dangerous weapon. It was critical that all members’ of the team were aware of their responsibility to the team. I also think that this shows respect to those you work with and to those in higher positions. Ensure you are where you should be, and do as you have been told. This also links in to health and safety.Initiative & Problem solving – to work on my own and to problems solve. My training as a gas engineer has put these skills to good use. When assessing a situation, I have to ensure that I can guarantee the safety of others. After my initial assessment I can proceed to solve the issue in the comfort of knowing that all risks have been assessed.
