I started my career in the golf industry and spent 15 years learning how to deal with adversity, customer satisfaction and sales. YES, sales. I had to share why I was the right candidate in a very competitive work space, why the members and guest would enjoy working with me to help enjoy their day at the course, help them improve their skills in my opinion the hardest sport to learn! I loved it! Worked my way up to Head Golf Professional / General Manager. Time for a change though, which lead me to Payroll. Funny enough, I somewhat labeled myself a golf person. What I didn't realize was golf taught me so much to do with Sales and Leadership. I transitioned well into a fast paced, trusted, active listening vertical, payroll sales. I LOVED it and still do today. I've personally helped thousands of businesses across Canada and the USA transition their payroll services from one provider to another and start a new business from scratch. Active listening allowed me to understand why it was important for them to move over. My role is simple; listen, understand, formulate a plan and advocate for my clients. I have and find this role to be very satisfying, love watching people have success, also love to learn about so many different lines of business.
