I am responsible for managing supplier approvals and audits for the pharmaceutical excipient division.

I supervise a team of employees that is responsible for the quality of the incoming components and outgoing finished goods. I am responsible for following up on non-conforming materials with the vendors and ensuring that finished goods are reworked and released correctly.

I am part of a 6-member team that is contracted by the Minnesota Vikings to ensure that, while they play their home games at TCF Bank Stadium, the stadium is set to their exact specifications. Responsibilities include operating a forklift safely, coordinating movements among team members, and efficient delegation of tasks to ensure that all of our tasks are accomplished before our deadlines. During the games, we are responsible for overseeing the operations crews’ supervisors to ensure that they are managing their teams effectively. Post game we are responsible for performing audits on their work and evaluating staffing in the areas that underperformed. Other duties include snow removal and coordination of multiple teams for concert setup and take down.

As a Junior Scientist I worked closely with a team of people in a Microbiology Lab in the College of Veterinary Medicine. I am responsible for isolating bacteria from the turkey gut and analyzing them. I am also responsible for developing turkey probiotics to increase their weight without the use of antibiotics. My skills include culturing and maintaining bacteria in both aerobic and anaerobic environments, DNA extractions from gut samples and bacteria. Nanodrop DNA Analysis. PCR and QPCR, Genome Scale Metabolic Modeling, Analysis of Sequencing and Microbiome Data, and Plasmid Extractions.

As a research assistant I am responsible for various tasks while working in a BSL2 lab. I managed our bacterial cultures, including preparing and processing microbial cultures for cryogenic storage. I also organize our lab stations and keep track of inventory. I also performed various assays including extracting assays that determined the capsaicin and vitamin content of over 100 varieties of chili peppers. Additionally, I am responsible for overseeing the work of the other research assistants that are working in the lab. This would include assisting with lab work and assays and verifying that both general procedures and safety procedures were followed. I am also responsible for media preparation, streaking cultures, and disposing of hazardous waste. In our lab we work with Lactobacillus, Clostridium, Salmonella, Listeria, and Bacillus bacteria.

As a Supervisor I am part of a team that manages a team of over 400 employees during different events, including managing the pre-game tailgating lots during the football games, and managing staff during the football game. Supervisors are responsible for managing incidents and unruly patrons during the game, and are required to quickly assess situations and choose the best possible solution. I also conducted interviews and made hiring decisions.

As an intern at AMPI, I was responsible for conducting walkthroughs to ensure that the plant was running efficiently and effectively. My overall project during my internship was documenting lactose yields. I was also trained to oversee various supervisor manager shifts while they were on leave. I was responsible for handling daily paperwork, which included maintaining records of temperatures throughout the plant, managing cheese cultures, and compiling manifests of incoming and outgoing products, including over 2 million pounds of milk a day.

Field Supervisor Responsibilities: Field Supervisors are front line supervisors and leaders. They assist all Patrol Monitors, Security Monitors, Training Monitors, and Bike Monitors in the completion and understanding of their work assignments. They set an appropriate conduct for all employees to follow. FS duties include visiting all monitors on duty at least once a night, respond to monitor incident calls, and debrief monitors. Field Supervisor responsibilities also include employee performance evaluation and disciplinary action; they also hold authority to approve administrative leave and excusals.

Prep Cook/Line Cook Responsibilities: I was responsible for preparing and assembling food headed directly to customers. I also had to clean the work surfaces and ensure that no cross-contamination happened. I had to make sure that all the appliances that I was using were functioning properly and that food was kept out of the danger zone. I was also tasked with evaluating the freshness of ingredients before use and ensuring that the food was cooked to the proper temperature to ensure that all the microbial organisms were killed, eliminating the chance of foodborne illness. We also had to evaluate recipes for allergens and dietary restrictions; we have to modify recipes to ensure that the finished product conforms to the stated specifications.
