I am a Sigma Theta Tau graduate of Yale University School of Nursing and a board-certified family nurse practitioner practicing in internal medicine and addiction medicine at Duffy Health Center (Hyannis, MA), a Federally Qualified Health Center and NCQA-Certified Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home focused on the provision of care for those facing and those at risk for homelessness.My clinical interests include general internal medicine, adult psychiatry (particularly bipolar disorder and ADHD), addiction medicine, and care of vulnerable and underserved populations, particularly those facing homelessness, psychiatric and substance use disorders, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. In addition, I am also a provider in Duffy's hepatitis C treatment program. I also manage HIV. Outside of direct clinical care, I am broadly interested in practice leadership, health information technology, and health professions education. I am an Epic expert, having trained as a Super User, and have completed the following Epic courses: Clinical Informatics, Notecraft for Physicians, and Physician Builder Basic, as well as Epic's THRIVE training. I was formerly involved in the Colorectal Cancer Screening Collaborative, a program involving multiple Massachusetts FQHCs and the state Department of Public Health, with the goal of improving colorectal cancer screening rates within our patient population. As a clinician educator, I have precepted nursing students from Cape Cod Community College; nurse practitioner students from Boston College, Simmons University, Rivier University, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences; and physician assistant students from Tufts University.
