I supervise up to 12 direct reports, including Environmental Coordinators, Environmental Technicians, Environmental Assistants, and Waste Management Coordinators & Technicians. I manage on-site consultants, forecasting, budgeting, compliance programs, meeting facilitation, permit application process, continuous improvements, and reporting functions. ***Value Added***✔Managed integrated environmental baseline and compliance program to meet permitting and regulatory requirements, and worked closely with mine operations, processing, exploration, and project teams to ensure optimal environmental protection.✔Liaised with and led government inspectors on site tours and ensured that all government and KIA representatives attending site visits were provided thorough information pertaining to their respective mandates.✔Maintained compliance and all requisite permitting & licensure for 3 sites: Doris Mine, Madrid Mine, and Boston Site.✔Investigated reported compliance-related findings and collaborated with senior staff to develop action plans; reported spills to landowners and other regulatory bodies. ✔Developed capacity building program that recognizes local Inuit beneficiaries and allows more Inuit assistants to perform in regulatory roles; conducted interviews to ascertain what they were most interested in.✔Ensured full compliance with regulations, permits, and plans, followed-up on actions for non-conformities.
