Being born and raised in Ohio has given me quite the experience becoming who I am today. Through experiencing tornados, snowing thunderstorms, and the infamous cornfields, I strive to continue to enhance my journey in life.During my childhood I attended the same school district, Streetsboro City Schools, throughout my entire grade school career before being accepted into and attending Baldwin Wallace University right after the COVID-19 pandemic had taken the world by storm. After the pandemic had effectively cancelled the latter half of my senior year of high school I felt as if I had missed out on a lot of experiences and opportunities I shouldn't have. Because of this, I made it my mission to set out and try as many new things as I could while in college and truly take advantage of any opportunity presented to me. Through this mindset, I became heavily involved and invested into my university and the experience I got out of it. In my first 2 years in college I had joined numerous clubs and programs including the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, Student Ambassadors, and New Student Orientation Program. As a result, I began to truly feel that I was beginning to experience all the things I previously missed out on. I also fell in love with the feeling of being nervous to try new things. I grew to love the feeling and saw every new thing as an opportunity to learn and grow. Through this and someone I viewed as one of my mentors at Baldwin Wallace, the phrase "a lifelong learner" began to grow on me and I started to try and live by it every day. After pushing myself to be involved in so many different programs and activities, I gained an invaluable amount of perspective, advice, and most importantly skills to carry on with me throughout my next steps. I learned how to communicate more effectively both personally and professionally. Leadership was pushed upon me as I had to fill the shoes of those before me and I quickly understood different leadership styles and the way people respond to each. Problem solving outside of the classroom was also a critically important skill to enhance as there were often problems I worked with others to remedy in the numerous clubs I was a part of. While my experience throughout life so far has been filled with excitement and adventures, this is only the beginning as I seek to further my experience through a professional career.Some of my accomplishments include Baldwin Wallace President's Scholarship, 2020 Academic All-Ohio Baseball nomination, and a black belt in Kuk Sool Won.
