As a Senior Engineering Technician II at City of Reno, I supervise a team of six technicians that provide support in various engineering projects, such as drafting, data collection, inspection, mapping, and research. I use Wrike & Planner, project management tools, to coordinate tasks, communicate with stakeholders, and track progress and outcomes.In my current role, I review all legal descriptions and exhibits submitted to the City where Right-of-Way or easements will be transferred to the City. I ensure that these exhibits and legal descriptions are accurate and that the overall plan for these areas make sense, for future ownership and maintenance by the City. I use GIS to map and track all City held easements as well as City owned land. I have nine years of experience working in Right-of-Way with an emphasis on property rights, easements, and ownership and maintenance responsibility research. I spent three years with the Nevada Department of Transportation where I helped draft exhibits and legal descriptions used in the acquisition and disposal of land needed for federally funded projects. I am the vice president for a local non-profit group that helps raise money for a local elementary school. I analyze monthly payouts, looking to see which events or products are profitable and where we can improve these events or products for future growth. I am the membership chair and course coordinator for our local IRWA (International Right of Way Association) Chapter 46! My goal is to make those around me feel supported and to give them a reason to want to continue being a member of our association and chapter. Listening to what our members needs are, I help coordinate courses that help them further their education and career.
