I have obtained a general Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Law and minor in Political Science from Carleton University, as well a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from Algonquin College. Through my education experience I have learned the Canadian laws and policies of the workplace, as well have obtained a strong understanding of general human resource practices such as compensation, labour relations, employee relations, HRIS, training & development, and recruitment & selection. Through my work experience I have directed the planning, leading, and implementation of various work related programs and activities for both large and small groups. I have acquired customer service skills providing services in person, over the phone, or via email. I developed administration skills such as providing administrative support services, assessing information from various reports, working with electronic documents, experience in file preparation and sorting documents, and more. I have assisted with hiring, (screening resumes, formal interviews, and group interviews), as well ensure proper training, support and supervision of all staff, and facilitated trainings. As well, I have conducted staff evaluations and created staff schedules on a week to week basis. I have had the responsibility for the general safety and well-being of others. My dedication to these responsibilities led to being client focused and customer driven. My experience working with various age groups for the City of Ottawa has taught me how to exceed expectations and provide excellent service. I am qualified in various certifications such as Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, City of Ottawa High Five, CORE Train the Trainer, and CORE Training. I have obtained the knowledge and skills to work with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and SAP. I have acquired knowledge of the City of Ottawa’s CLASS software application such as Program Registration and Report Printing.
