Key Contributions: Assist in creating a reliable account recon process for a Private Equity venture including 3 recently purchased companies to bring uniformity across the board. Substantiate balance sheet accounts and provide JE recommendation in preparation of the upcoming year end outside audit. Develop a cash app process for a new depository account that is being brought on to simplify and consolidate the dozens of accounts being utilized across the three companies in multiple states and with multiple banks.

SPN Well Services/Superior Energy 2010 to 2019CONTROLLER - SERVICE RIGS – NORTH AMERICA, 7/2018 – 8/2019 | Gainesville, TXOrchestrate financial components of business operations, including overseeing monthly close, audit requests, financial reporting, strategic planning, asset counts, capital spending budgeting, accounts receivable and payable, and reconciliations. Maintain compliance of federal, state, and local regulations, laws, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and internal controls, while expanding business development opportunities. Calculate company earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), utilizing generally accepted accounting principles. Demonstrate leadership in enacting company shared core values of Integrity, Safety, Fair Play, and Citizenship.Key Contributions: Administer financial control over North America including yards throughout North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Oklahoma, and Texas totaling an annual revenue of over $100M. Supervise 519 full-time employees, including 17 direct reports, in managing the financial health of the company. Strategized increases in asset sales and growth margins, resulting in the addition of $10M in service line’s earnings before interest and taxes year over year and continued upward trajectory. Increased EBITDA by 4% year over year through successful implementation of cost cutting measures and increased organizational efficiencies. Spearheaded transition to Navision/Dynamic 365 accounting systems, leading to increased efficiency in documentation and up-to-date financial reporting. Integrated five separate ledgers into one general ledger for the entire service line.

CONTROLLER - SERVICE RIGS – ROCKIES REGION, 9/2010 to 7/2018 | Grand Junction, COPerformed similar responsibilities as above for the U. S. Rocky Mountain region including Colorado and Utah.  Outperformed all other Regions in my service line’s EBITDA by 8%. Negotiated various customer audits from initial liabilities of over $1M to $16K. Converted software from MAS to Navision for 8 different ledgers. Acknowledged for superior company leadership, project management skills, and business operations acumen through promotion to manage service line’s finances across North America.

Superior Energy (Complete Production Services prior to merger) 2008-2010REGIONAL ASSISTANT CONTROLLER | Western Slope, ColoradoExecuted accounting and financial procedures, including managing monthly accounting cycle, producing financial planning justification, maintaining internal controls and documentation, and ensuring accuracy of records and reports.  Led special projects to increase efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditures. Drove down R&M 4% through vendor consolidations and budgeting.  Restructured service rig’s pay structure to cut non-revenue time by 70% during an industry down-turn.
