Conducted a value quantification analysis on a 3PL solution to service three Medtronic Puerto Rico manufacturing locations to eliminate the need for increased capital expenditure. Mapped the flow of inbound raw materials into Puerto Rico and the outbound flow of finished goods into global distribution centers. Provided recommendations for consolidation of outbound shipments in order to reduce touch-points, which would decrease damages and lost shipments, as well as transportation costs. Also provided recommendations to 3PL for pick efficiency increases. Created a value quantification model for a solution put in place at Medtronic's Memphis distribution center. FedEx provided Medtronic with specialized shipping solutions to support their surgical loaner kit operation. Using the unique quantification model it was discovered that the solution increased daily cash flow from loaner kit operation by over 50% and reduced transit time by one day. Performed shipping rate analysis to provide Medtronic with a cost/benefit report in order to justify the closing of a distribution center and the relocation of inventory. The report was given to executive-level decision makers at Medtronic and contributed to the decision to restructure their distribution network.All of these analyses were compiled into a comprehensive report and presented to Directors, VPs and SVPs at FedEx. FedEx leadership shared portions of this report with Medtronic leadership to highlight strengths and show potential growth.
