I had the opportunity to start up the first Waste Derived Fuels Blending Platformregistered in the country in 2014. We faced several challenges along the way however, withmy team we solved these with many innovative ideas and solutions. Within the first year ofoperation our team managed to implement, and successfully obtain the internationalaccreditation for OSHAS 18001 safety system with TUV Rheinland.Job Specific Duties: - Find efficiencies in operations across the country at various Depots (2010-2013)- Manage and run special projects for clean-ups, super suckers, spills and industrial cleaning- Accountability for monthly figures- Ensure and maintain a full safety system.- Ensure strict acceptance procedure were adhered to for the Alternative Fuels project- Assist in the coordination and initiation of recycling initiatives- Ensure all maintenance on vehicles, equipment and buildings is done in accordance to the requisite laws and by-laws Additional Responsibilities: I ran and successfully managed the super suckers division and was responsible for finding efficiencies with the vehicles running day to day and with specialised jobs. Recent implementation of a driver score card system which includes on various factors. For example: fuel management, carry overs, drive-cam and driver behaviours etc.
