 Patrol Officer assigned to protect and serve the culturally diverse community of Long Beach, CA. Responsible for conducting investigations pertaining to community disputes, criminal complaints, and traffic accidents. Conduct lawful arrests of offenders and advocate for innocent citizens based on detailed evidence collection. Collaborate with community members to find solutions to increase the safety of the citizenry through community policing.

As Company Commander, exercises command and control of the company while adhering to intent, guidance, and orders from higher echelons. Leads by personal example and is responsible for everything the company does or fails to do. Principle duties include the key areas of readiness, tactical employment, training, physical fitness, administration, personnel management, maintenance, force protection, and sustainment of the company. Plans, resources, and executes all real world missions and infantry specific training tasks for 120 soldiers. Maintaining on time and accurate communication with both supervisor and subordinate units.• Responsible for the accountability and maintenance of over $5 million dollars of military equipment• Develop an evaluation and rating scheme criteria used to evaluate subordinates leaders annual performance to promote professional growth• Coach, Teach, and mentor subordinate 4 officers in executive officer and platoon leader positions to invest in their future development a commissioned officers• Oversee and plan logistic and supply chain operations in order to sustain ongoing operations

Assigned as a program manager in the Spares Program Office at the Marvin Engineering Company responsible over 50 individual projects from initiation phase to delivery. During my time in this position a small restructuring of supervisors and responsibility in the Program Officer took place. In addition to managing my own projects in the Spares Program Office, my supervisor wanted to have more visibility on the statuses of all the projects within the Spares Program Office. I created master documents for our office to use to view projects and address issues with projects that were falling behind schedule. This increased not only the supervisor visibility on the programs, but also the whole office. During this time I increased communication with vendors and key players in supply chain to problem solve how to adjust budget and timelines to regain traction on our projects to ensure that we met customer deadlines. Due to the nature of manufacturing these projects, waterfall was the main methodology I used as program manager during my time at the Marvin Group, however at certain times I was able to use a hybrid of waterfall and agile methodology to group certain projects together and accomplish project tasks concurrently as able and then reengage the waterfall methodology as projects met certain milestones. The overall initial goals were met by providing my supervisor increased visibility on projects as well as ways to work toward efficient ways to provide items to our customers and have greater ability to mitigate any issues that arose during the manufacturing process.

Received the US Army sponsored “Hire our Heroes” internship for veterans transitioning from the military into the corporate world. My internship focused on program and project management roles working underneath various Program Office. During my time as an intern, I was able to shadow program managers from each of the Marvin Engineering Program Offices (Launchers, Bomb Racks, Spares, and the Joint Strike Fighter Alternate Mission Equipment Program). During the shadow phase I was able to gain experience with creating processes and systems to guide individual projects from initiation to delivery. I developed relationships with the vendors that supplied specific parts and an understanding the accurate scheduling of processes (heat treatment, painting, custom work, etc.). After progressing though the shadowing phase, I began to manage my own small projects such as smaller parts used to complete full bomb racks, missile launchers, and various alternate mission equipment. I also gained valuable experience dealing with our end user customers and on several occasions personally delivered equipment to the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter assembly line in Fort Worth, Texas.

Responsible for the maintenance of 70 combat vehicles and tactical equipment valued at over 80 million dollars. Lead the Headquarters Company successfully through the US Army's first European Deployment, with 100% accountability of all equipment, vehicles, and personnel returning from the theater of operations.

Selected above my peers to lead all reconnaissance missions during battalion operations. While forward deployed, conducted operations of over 1500 miles of Eastern European roadways and worked consistently with NATO Partner Nations to strengthen bonds with US military allies.

Responsible for training, mission planning, orders production, tactical operations, and subordinate skill development of junior leaders and 40 soldiers. Throughout the time period maintained 100% accountability of over 20 million dollars worth of government equipment, led the firs US Army-Qatari Military joint training exercise, and was rated in the top 10% out of 30 junior officers.

Assigned as Operations Officer (S3) for the University of Southern California ROTC Program in charge of scheduling training events and coordination of resources needed to conduct both short term and long term ROTC operations.

Worked as a camp counselor and offered youth mentoring to children enrolled in a scholarship-based summer camp for underprivileged youth in southern Los Angeles. The work provided a strong understanding and viewpoint of the challenges faced by underserved areas of the city.
