Project Manager
Current-Conducts condition assessments on multiple City streets per year (average eight). Plans and manages the simultaneous reconstruction of the streets based upon the input and needs of various groups and stakeholders.-Co-ordinates the scheduling of City staff across multiple service areas.-Provides technical guidance, training, assigns work and supervises Construction Administration personnel.-Manages capital contracts and performs site inspections serving as the City Inspector, Contract Administrator and Project Manager.-lnvestigates, evaluates and recommends engineering solutions to problems associated with capital projects, public inquiries and concerns. Serves as a main point of contact for City council, City staff, external utilities, contractors and members of the public.-Prepares and completes tender document packages including cost estimates, special provisions, construction schedules and addendums.-Compiles request for quotations and requests for proposals for engineering consulting services.Leads the creation of engineering drawings for road reconstruction projects.-Schedules and chairs monthly progress meetings for capital projects.-Provides advice on interpretation and application of City policies, standards, methods and procedures to consultants, contractors and other City staff.-Prepares reports and supporting documentation for Committees and Council and recommends to the Division Manager and City Engineer for approval.-Reviews and recommends payment certificates, change orders, purchase orders and invoices for contractors and consultants. -Creates and maintains records, reports, drawings and statistics for capital projects.
