Experienced IT Project Manager for Auto Owners Insurance, supporting and managing all Financial Service Systems. This is an umbrella group that oversees the Accounting, Billing, Collections, Claims, and Disbursement’s systems. In this role I have been responsible for managing different Information Technology (IT) projects, as well as leading our IT Production Support teams. As a consultant, I was contracted to work as an IT Project Manager for the Department of Technology Management and Budget for the state of Michigan, supporting the Quality-of-Life division. My roles included being responsible for the implementation and deployment of numerous IT projects for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). I managed two projects for the DNR. Those projects include FACTS Commercial and MiFI Mobile 3. I also managed three projects for EGLE. Those projects include the Drinking Water IT Modernization project, the EQuIS project, and a Risk Based Data Management System project. My role in all state projects was to oversee the project, timeline, budget, and contractual documents for successful project completion. In addition to project status and management meetings, I was also in charge of the budget and creating and communicating reports. My team was able to work through difficult project risks to determine the most appropriate solution, then implement that solution.

As a Project Manager for Vertafore, my roles included being responsible for the implementation and deployment of Vertafore’s software products. Through the whole life cycle, I was responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and delivery of project work to our clients. Including initial contact with clients, writing of the Statement of Work, creating of project plans, allocating the workload for the team, regular client status calls, and checking the quality of work prior to deployment. In addition, I was responsible for the budget and the funding for each of my clients. Work alongside an Account Manager to ensure that Vertafore is delivering on its promise to provide clients with specifically requested applications and enhancements. Initiate and manage all communication with clients and their executive leadership, technical resources, project managers, and business analysts to ensure all parties are clear regarding milestones and risks. Also included is travel to client’s offices to assist in demonstrating products and presenting the Statements of Work.

My department oversaw all of Farmers Insurance’s Independent Agencies. All the projects were related to those independent agencies. I would manage projects for large agencies that would acquire other agencies or corporations. When one large corporation would purchase another large chain of agencies, I was responsible for ensuring all the contracting documents were completed and filed. I would then ensure the transfer of policies (in the system) and insureds were transferred to the new corporation. I would ensure all the financials and commissions were updated to the proper amounts, then determine any back-pay owed to each agency.

Worked within Farmers Insurance for the HelpPoint Claim Services. This was a call center and customer service position. Answered claims phone calls and filed claims for insureds. Worked alongside home and auto adjusters to ensure the claim was completed as quickly as possible. While in this role, promoted to work as a system support specialist to assist other employees with system use, caller difficulties, and claims reporting if there were troubles.
