I currently work at General Dynamics as a Systems Engineer having joined via the Graduate Scheme. Throughout the 2 years of the scheme I rotated around the company experiencing and learning from the many different departments. I graduated from UWTSD in July 2017 with a First Class Honours BEng in Advanced Engine Design. During my time at university I was the number one mechanic for OW Racing Ltd using the opportunity to build on my experience of maintaining and running a Formula Ford at hill climbs. My studies at university fanned the flames of my passion for engineering in the automotive world. During my four years of studies I grew into an analytical, confident and resourceful engineer capable of dealing with complex scenarios whilst keeping to time frames and exceeding objectives in an organized manner. I have found great enjoyment in building an understanding of complex engineering problems from first principles through to the resolution of the problem. I have worked from a young age and spent my university time also working as a bar supervisor to fund my studies. This has developed my ability to work effectively as a leader and handle responsibility in high pressure scenarios.
