My role of Sales Engineer is to be involved in the creation of solutions based on customer’s needs in collaboration with the sales representative and to act as a spokesperson on construction sites with the project managers. This Includes:Client Engagement- Meet current and potential clients in order to determine the most appropriate solutions/modifications or additions that should meet their expectations.- Respond to inquiries from Sales Representatives.- Understand value-added services such as consultation, engineering, programming, project management, and training.- Develop innovative Videoconferencing/Audio Visual solutions according to client requirements.- Design cabling and electrical connections/AV plans.- Partake in meetings and collect technical information from architects, designers, general contractors and sub-contractors involved in projects.Quote, Scope of Work and BOM Generation- Research products available on the market.- Draft technical components of proposals (Scope of Work).- Prepare quotes detailing the types of equipment, and the electrical and installation services required.- Modify proposals in accordance with anomalies, change orders and project lifecycle.Project Management- Assist with project planning, create project timetables and schedules.- Monitor the quality of work of sub-contractors and of installation technicians.- Manage project throughout entire lifecycle Project Completions- Perform a compliance audit of work performed.- Identify the corrections to be made, if any.- Ensure that the automation software meets customer requirements in accordance with the Statement of Work.
