I have been oriented toward a career path in accounting since taking classes in high school. There was a professional sense of collective unity among my peers that I wasn't able to engage in with my other coursework. This unified front of collaboration and problem-solving had a certain allure to it that I couldn’t ignore. As I began my college career at Fairfield, I felt that it was right for me to pursue a potential accounting career path. Looking back now I can confidently say I have made the right decision. I have been lucky enough to engage with a community of like-minded individuals who continuously strive for academic success, career advancement, and personal development. I love the connections I have made over the past few semesters with both faculty and students alike. Working with others has helped me to understand the work that goes into solving complex problems, what it means to be part of a team, and the opportunities that a career in accounting has to offer. I am passionate about bringing a quality work ethic to the realm of public accounting. However, I believe there is more to me than my enthusiasm about the profession, and that I can bring some dimensionality to the role. Along with my accounting coursework, I enjoy engaging with the surrounding community at school through organizations such as Relay for Life, various business clubs, and service opportunities in the community. Additionally, I like to take opportunities to learn, challenge myself, and grow whenever I can. I am interested in books that range from self-help to entrepreneurship. Outside my business curriculum, I enjoy classes related to environmental science, philosophy, and literature. I love working out and researching travel locations, as I am studying at SBE Maastricht for the fall semester of 2023. I love meeting new people and listening to perspectives that I might not be familiar with.
