As a Human Resources Intern on the US HR Operations team, I was responsible for efforts within university recruiting, typically sourcing and screening for 10-15 requisitions at a time. I also worked to send out internal communications regarding employee engagement and wellness. Additionally, I supported event planning to grow employee engagement at our Auburn Hills locations. I was also involved in support with onboarding, orientations and compliance, working with I-9s and documentation.

After taking a break from my position to pursue internship and alternative opportunities, I returned to Texas Roadhouse as a Key Hourly Manager.As a Key Hourly Manager, I managed the front of house staff during shifts as well as handled guest complaints or feedback, assisted salary managers, and assured the restaurant was prepared for each shift.

As a Trainer Coordinator, I managed the training team for our store and organized meetings and outings to help keep our team connected and educated! I updated and produced training materials using Microsoft Office as well as orientated and onboarded new employees into the system and organized their training using online programs!

As a Talent Acquisition Intern, I supported the University Recruiting Team (consisting of University Relations, Campus Recruiting, and Intern Experience) and supported the sourcing, promotion and fulfillment of open intern positions for the upcoming summer season.On the Campus Recruiting team, I supported the lead grading and sourcing of candidates for open roles. I also helped promote work being done by the team by formatting branding posts to highlight efforts to share on platforms like LinkedIn. Also tracked and recorded daily production by Talent Acquisition Partners, sent out daily to help set standards for weekly production goals. Conducted research on effectiveness of recognized surveys promoting top internships and presented information a team of likeminded individuals to gain insight into benefit of surveys.On the University Relations team, I helped support campus events by speaking with students interested in learning more about the family of companies and the opportunities available at Rocket.On the Intern Experience team, I supported efforts to enhance development and interactive experience for winter interns apart of various teams.Had the opportunity to meet and shadow with leaders and members of alternative business areas to gain insight into their roles and positions within the family of companies.

As a fall intern, I was exposed to benefits and payroll operations as well as HR functions such as HRIS analytics, employee documentation, onboarding/I-9 facilitation and additional administrative work.Created step by step learning guides for future interns and staff needing to learn the HRIS systems or documentation processes to ensure consistent compliance.

As a Team Lead over the Training Department, I would set up and meet with new associates at their 30/60/90 day marks to review training processes, scheduling, and their experience so far. I also help manage/develop our ACE Trainers and oversee training classes/on-the-job training, as well as I-9/onboarding completion. Responsibilities were typically project based.I was also responsible for managing the floor during shifts by actively helping and conversing with guests regarding their experience and discussing any opportunities for the future. I handled event paperwork and spoke with event point of contacts to discuss billing and experience, and oversaw associates.

As a host/server assistant, I helped seat and greet guests as well as clean tables, help behind the bar with dishes and bus tubs as well as sanitizing the restaurant touch points and facilities.
