As a field/shop technician I do specialty excavation (trenchers) At first I was working with a tech getting to know the ropes. Assistant him in everyday repairs. I did a lot of chain work for the trencher. Learning how to cut and weld on new pockets. Getting better with a torch but need work on learning to weld. How to remove the boom and chain assembly to change the chain. Removed links to shorten chain. How to install and remove base plates onto chain. Preformed a lot of hydraulic repairs learned how to mark my hoses, valves, fittings, cylinders, ect so everything goes back. I always use the service, maintenance, or parts manual on my work laptop to ensure job is done correctly. I’ve learned and advanced a lot here at this company.

I started off as a yard guy. I washed, fueled, and moved equipment. I helped our drivers load and unload trucks when needed. We had a daily list of rentals I kept track of. After being in the yard four months I moved into the shop to do scissor lifts. Started with basic inspections and repairs. After months of hard work and motivation I got moved over to the heavy equipment side. I did basic repairs on boom lifts, telehandlers, dirt equipment such as excavators, skid steer‘s, Back hoe’s, generators, etc. At first I preformed services, grease, baic repairs. After awhile I got more advanced repairs like hydraulic hoses, help changing harnesses, axles, or anything that needs to be done. Willing to tackle new challenges. The shop foreman was DJ. He taught me anything that comes through the shop. At times I have bumps but I get the job done right and most of the time before quotes hours. I’m learning a lot but can do all my projects independently and ask questions along the way.

I was a line cook. I would start my shift by stocking my area and prep. As the orders came through I prepared the meals following all the details on the orders. I was a team player and would wash dishes, help with co-worker side work, and many other things.
