As a Tactical Sergeant Major (TSM), leading a team of 8 senior military instructors to deliver public order training to troops both in the UK Ministry of Defence and external armies, the role is crucial in ensuring that quality control and safety is maintained. The aim is to enable cascade training at sub-unit level, ensuring that all troops are trained to the same high standard, and that their safety is not compromised during training exercises.My role in the team is not only to deliver training, but also to conduct validation of regular and reserve units around the world. Responsible for developing and updating doctrine and tactics for public disorder training scenarios.There is an inherent need to have a deep understanding of public order training, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with troops at all levels. Working closely with other military units, both within the UK MoD and with external armies, in order to ensure that training is consistent and effective.

Infantry Battle School (Wales)

SSI (Senior Squad Instructor) for the training and development of “near peer” subordinates in bridging the gap from SNCO to Officer, both in the battlefield and day to day camp requirements. Lead for assurance and confirmation that senior soldiers met the standards required to promote in rank, where in they then deployed global on operations and training. Training consisted of, but not limited to:• Urban operations and planning. • Navigation in complex environments. • Administration of up to 90 service personnel. • Reconnaissance and execution of target packs. • Delivery of orders and mission preparation. • Physical tests, heavy weight marches over the Brecon Beacons. • Weapon testing and live fire training.

CSgt Instructor and mentor for new/ young platoon Commanders who attended to apply practical application of tactical doctrine taught, develop leadership and management techniques while in arduous environments for prolonged time. Trained as individuals, through to section (8 service personnel) up to company group (90+).
