• Operated a state of the art ethanol plant via Siemens distributed control system (DCS) from control room• Maintained and troubleshooted five 500hp coil tube boilers all completed with economizers, four induced draft cooling towers, two centrifugal chillers (R34), condensate collection and water purification systems through water sample analysis, work orders, PM’s and data logging• Performed lock out tag out (LOTO) on equipment and vessels for maintenance• Completed supervisory duties such as daily shift reports, plant shift reports, attend and relay information from safety and production meetings as well as provide training for the production and utility department.• Conducted routine checks and PM’s for the plants various safety systems (Diesel fire pump, fire extinguishers, sprinkler standpipes, eye wash/shower stations and emergency lights)• Assisted in commissioning new processes to the plant (Dryer, Biodiesel) • Conducted sample prep and sample analysis (Titrations, moisture analysis, HPLC and PH) for QA/QC department.• Troubleshooted ethanol load out issues (Scully cable, low denaturant flow)• Strictly followed chemical receiving procedures and provided detailed orientation to new chemical delivery drivers• Worked alongside plant staff and contractors to safely and effectively troubleshoot, problem solve and complete tasks.• Completed detailed root cause/corrective action reports‬‬• Ensured members of my crew are caught up on safety procedures and sign off on documentation such as incident reports, shift exchange requests.
