After completing my management degree I began work as a site foreman for a custom homes builder. Where we specialized in custom and one of a kind homes for higher end clientele. During the housing market crash of ‘08 i was fortunate to have been working on a very large custom home that took multiple years to complete the special requests from the owner.In 2010 I made the move to automated manufacturing at Eagle Picher Technologies. There I learned an array of different skills and certifications that I still carry to this day. At EP I got interested in the chemical side of batteries and what made them work. I had multiple different jobs starting as an operator then moved on to the engineering department as a technician a couple of years later. In engineering I learned design and automation implementation with custom machinery from Italy. After 4 years of working in new product development I was offered a role as a production supervisor on the operations side. Where my immediate task was to implement the new metrics system for the Crossroads facility. It was an interesting time that taught me a lot about my skills and talents not only as a analyst, but as a leader.In 2017 a new battery company opened into the Joplin area. I was immediately drawn to the small company feel of ZAF Energy Systems. I applied for a position, along with hundreds of others, and was named Production Supervisor. After 6 months of travel and and building design with local co tractors we selected a building and began making Nickel Zinc Batteries. Quickly we realized this was going to be bigger than anything we had seen. I am eager to see where this company takes me in the future...
