Responsible for managing a multitude of grain and equipment positions both in cross-country grain merchandising and grain origination for our Omaha and Lincoln terminals. Execute all functions of a rail traffic team for both UP/BN shuttle programs, UP pool cars, and BN Cots domestically and for export.

Dispatch a fleet a 300-400 truck drivers on a nightly basis using the AS400 software. Monitor assigned, pre-assigned, committed, and late load status. Authorize lumper pay and emergency home time, route drivers to terminals for safety issues, plan swaps and splits. Answer telephone calls from drivers regarding home time, swap/splits, and routing issues. Troubleshoot problems that drivers have such as late loads, load assignment, routing, permits, lumpers, advances, finding empty trailers, and resolving overweight issues.
