Legal Project Management and Legal Process Improvement. Students in the course receive focused training in legal project management and process improvement complemented by actual industry use cases. The emergence of alternative fee arrangements, proliferation of new legal technology, and growth of multidisciplinary legal teams are just some of the market forces reshaping the delivery of legal services. Whether undertaking work for a large institutional client, a small business or a single individual, legal project management and process improvement (such as Lean Six Sigma) can be effective for ensuring both quality and efficiency in providing legal services.

Managed and scoped a variety of projects within Managed Services division, focusing primarily on regulated industries, including Financial Services, Oil and Gas, and Healthcare Products. Led teams of attorneys of various skill levels and coordinated delivery of multiple, simultaneous work streams. Customized reporting to fit client needs and communicated status and progress metrics to multiple stakeholder groups.

Assisted the Hon. Timothy P. Connors and judicial attorney with day-to-day courtroom activities.

Assisted low-income, high-need Detroit residents with navigating a variety of legal issues. Practiced law pursuant to MCR 8.120. Responsible for supervising 15-20 student attorneys, including file reviews, performance evaluations, conducting interviews,hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions. Worked with other board members to maintain corporate partnerships with other non-profit organizations and to ensure continued non-profit status with the IRS. Assisted with the rebuilding and upgrading of entire clinic computer network by utilizing various software/hardware donation programs for non-profits.
