Electrical Manufacturing Engineering
CurrentWithin GM Instruments I will be working as an electrical manufacturing engineering apprentice. GM Instruments is one of the leading manufacturers ofNasal Congestion Measurement, RespiratoryFlow Measurement and Audiometry products. The job is split up into 4 days working and 1 day studying at college. The working week consists of being paired with another worker and going through the manufacturing process from start to finish making sure to pay close attention to detail to work place procedures and instructions. Another element to the job that I am progressing with is also the Electrical engineering aspect, this has allowed me to learn how to set up the products we produce and put them through testing and calibration before they are shipped out to customers. This has allowed me to also get some hands on experience with inspection any products sent back into us for repairs and has allowed me to inspect and identify where the problem is coming from to then be able to repair before re testing to then ship back out.
