I am a Special Education Teacher who has case managed students with unique and complex needs. I have experience teaching reading, writing, math, character development, perspective taking, social thinking, behavior management, work-based learning, and transitioning to life after graduation. Additional responsibilities that I manage include maintaining due process, completing evaluations and writing the reports that go with the assessments, writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), writing progress reports, providing differentiated instruction, collecting data in relation to the goals developed in the IEP, and keeping updated on different ways to teach materials so that students have additional opportunities to learn. I am passionate about creating and maintaining inclusive environments for all students where we strive for excellence on a daily basis. I am dedicated to maintaining high expectations and knowing that relationships are the most important part of what I do.
