• Answering patient/insurance calls in a call center setting.• Reviewing patient accounts, which included setting up payment arrangements, discussing financial information, screening for financial assistance, taking payments, answering insurance and other questions related to patient accounts.• Handling price estimates that were given out to patient’s requesting them and trained new and existing employees on the process of how to determine the cost of procedures. I also developed the process that is utilized to complete this task and managed a spreadsheet of estimates that was used to provide customer prices.• Reviewing all insurance payments to verify that the reimbursement received on claims were paid according to the contracts.• Identifying insurance reimbursement issues and verifying if patterns were reoccurring.• Identifying insurance and patient credits and identifying if and when they needed to be refunded for any overpayment received.• Identifying when denials needed to be opened, allowing them to flow into the proper queues for follow-up.• Volunteering for face to face billing consultations that were held at multiple locations.• I was selected to be in the Operational Excellence work group to help identify and resolve issues within the revenue cycle
