Senior It Systems Analyst
CurrentManage projects, implement systems, create documentation and provide information and assistance to computer system users and vendors regarding County computer equipment. Make recommendations regarding procedures, hardware, and software to meet the needs of computer users in all County departments.• Serves as project leader for installations and upgrades of hardware/software in all County depts.• Define system needs, integration, user security and reporting needs.• Verify IT standards are met.• Coordinate purchase, installation, implementation and training.• Assists users and vendors with problems or questions relating to computer hardware and software. • Troubleshoot software/hardware• Based on analysis of user needs, recommend new products, procedures, and methods of operation. Verifies all County systems follow established MIS standards by approving or adjusting department recommendations.• Consult with and advise County departments in the proper selection of hardware and software products.• Investigate and test new hardware and software products and enhancements.• Prepare/Update training materials and documentation for departmental and internal IT systems. • Set up equipment and install new and upgraded hardware and software.• Coordinate the process for each County department to prepare their 3-year and capital IT plan. • Maintain a level of knowledge of all County systems and their related interfaces.• Serve as liaison between users and hardware and software manufacturers.• Analyzes, research, and recommend hardware and software solutions for outside agencies requesting access to/integration with information on the County’s computers.• Attend continuing education seminars and classes as required.• Perform duties of Network Administrator as assigned.• Maintain records of the County computer inventory.• Prepare and send surveys to the County departments regarding applications and other requirements.
