Hello, I am a junior in Software engineering at Iowa State. I have always loved computers and everything about them. When I was 12, I was apart of lego robotics club. In that club we had weekly exercises and challenges that would teach us something new and push our creativity. Eventually I upgraded from lego robotics to Arduino (Italian Micro Controller). I experimented with Arduino for several years. I started off simple involving lights and motors but my projects quickly grew elaborate. I favorite was a tank. This desk sized tank and a sonar and could move around independently of me. It also had a remote that you could use to control it manually. Since coming to college, I have gotten to work on much more complex projects. Some including: A computer generated maze that you have to navigate with a DS4 controller, a program that would take the table in poker and return the best possible hand, and an arcade like project that required one player to input a number in binary and the next player try to guess it in a mastermind like game. This semester, I am working on a website that has temperature and humidity streamed from a raspberry pie in real time. turing a roomba into a obstacle avoidance robot, and an app that will allow the user to play one of my favorite card games, Egyptian Rap Slap, on there phones and play with their friends. So far I have gotten to work on lots of fun engineering projects. I have also gotten to work as a TA in a computer science class. As a TA, I held office hours, ran labs, administered exams, and graded homework.
