Senior Investigator
Current- Audits a variety of benefit plans for compliance with ERISA, including fully-insured and self-funded health plans, defined contribution and defined benefit pension plans, single and multiemployer plans, health expense.
- Coordinates and provides support in civil litigation and criminal prosecutions involving ERISA with various federal agencies (i.e., IRS, Department of Justice, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation) and state insurance.
- Performs analysis of financial statements, claims payments, and other data to assess compliance with ERISA, process weaknesses, and plan inefficiencies.
- Advises employers of violations of the law; explains the requirements needed to achieve and maintain compliance.
