Won and managed Nuru's "Creating Hope in Conflict: A Humanitarian Grand Challenge" grant hosted by USAID, the UK's Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office, the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands, and Global Challenges Canada, resulting in a $750,000 investment to build a 3.7MW solar-hybrid mini-grid providing energy access to thousands of people in Goma, North Kivu, DR Congo.Led Nuru’s successful bid for “2022 Solar Project of the Year” via the African Solar Industry Association (AFSIA)Won and managed Nuru's Powering Health grant via The Shell Foundation and FCDO to power 4 healthcare facilities in Tadu and Faradje, DRC. Through my work at the Research Network on Racial & Ethnic Inequality at Duke University's Social Science Research Institute, I worked on several projects outlined below:Worked as a research assistant for William A. (Sandy) Darity, Samuel DuBois Cook Distinguished Professor of Public Policy at Duke University. Researched the racial/ethnic demographics of four U.S. cities using data collected from the 2010 U.S. Census, and created several graphs to depict these findings for the Network’s website.Assisted REGSS and Network staff in hosting a 2-day conference on the achievement gap between racial/ethnic groups in U.S. k-12 schools, in addition to a 3-day workshop on diversity in tenure for economics.Managed website blog and poster that highlights the Network’s research funded by the Ford Foundation, which examines wealth disparities among racial/ethnic groups in the U.S.

I served as an intern at the Wrongful Convictions Clinic under the supervision of Theresa Newman, Clinical Professor of Law. I obtained detailed knowledge of a ten-year-old case under current investigation. I assisted Duke Law School Staff and Faculty by processing hundreds of pages of legal documents. I created a digital library for an investigation using Excel and Adobe Pro.

The Trinity Forum was founded by Al McDonald, former CEO of McKinsey & Co., to help leaders engage the key issues of culture and public life in the context of faith. The Trinity Forum Academy was the Forum’s fellowship program designed to cultivate integrity, creativity and excellence among young leaders. I researched transitional justice, reconciliation and economic development in Rwanda and DR Congo.
